Cathrine: Hard one.. If i only should wear 3 brands for the rest of my life it would be: Alexander Wang for everyday use and cool bags, Chanel for fine dress up and Isabel Marant all day – everyday, especially the shoes!
AAM: Casual, romantic or glamour style:
Cathrine: My wardrobe is mainly black.. Dresses, many layers, drapings etc. It is anything but romantic.
AAM: What is your favorite drink ?
Cathrine: Coconut water!!
AAM: What was the last movie you went to see ?
Cathrine: In time with Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. Everytime I see a good movie, it affects me so much, that I start living after the “message” for weeks! Then i know if I truly like it!
AAM: If someone write a biography about you, what do you think the title should be ?
Cathrine: If you were never young and stupid, how are you gonna be old and wise?
AAM: What kind of people do you dislike ?
Cathrine: Boys who play on different horses, bitchy jealous girls, dishonest people, lairs and all math teachers who makes my life harder than it is already..
AAM: Which type of food do you prefer ?
Cathrine: Sushi, Veggie, Thai and good old danish food.
AAM: Your favourite quote?
Cathrine: I love quotes! “God will never take away something without giving you something better in it’s place”. It’s is such true message. Just wait and it’s always true.



AAM: How and when did you started modeling ?
Cathrine: When I was 14 years old, I was in London on a girl trip with my mum Hanne. Just shopping, fun and time to relax. When I was shopping in Topshop on Oxford street, a girl named Rachel from Storm models came over and asked me if I were a model. I was very shy, and I almost hided behind my mum. My parents though I was a bit too young to travel to London alone at age 14, so they though I should wait a bit. But destiny wanted it to happend faster, and a week after I got home, I was with my dad Michael, to the Malene Birger fashionshow in Cph (he is a photographer, but not fashion). Here I meet Bente from Scoop Models, and she came over and told me to call her the next monday, and if she was in a meeting, i should pull her out of it. I’ve been with Scoop ever since, and I even walked for Malene Birger several times now.

AAM: Do you remember your first casting? Tell me how it was.
Cathrine: My first casting was to Cph Fashionweek, and I was really exited. I didn’t know, what to do at all, and how castings was, so I just talked and tried to show them a lot of my personality. It was a very long day, walking from casting to casting in the snow. Even though it was hard day, was it all worth it, because I was one of the girls who got most shows in Cph that year, even though it was my first time.

AAM: How would you describe yourself ?
Cathrine: I’m 16, and in my best age if you ask myself. I’m a very open girl, sometimes i do embarrassing things just for fun, because I don’t get embarrassed about myself, but my friends do, and thats funny. I’m a very goofy person. I love to explorer new things, and travel a lot. I hate the dark, I get klaustrophobic in small places and spiders are my worst enemies. My passion is handbags and I have too many on my wish list. I have a big brother Emil, we looks like twins and he is a big support for me, and helps me a lot with school, when i’m too busy to handle it on my own. I have a lot of sweet friends, and in the summertime you will find me in the parks in Denmark eating strawberries and chilling with my loves ones, or swimming in the ocean. My main ambition in life is to live in London, and study on Central Saint Martins.



AAM: Everyone knows that shooting for magazines is one the most difficult parts of modeling. Tell me how this is happening in your case?
Catherine: I heard a lot of stories from other girls, but I never tried a really bad shoot myself. I especially enjoys beauty shoots.

AAM: You did fashion shows. Are you nervous before the show starts ? And how do you feel when you walk on the runway ?
Catherine: I feel like I’m the boss of the world. It is such a rush. You can’t get that feeling anywhere else. When I walk I don’t think, my brain goes all black and I just feel and enjoy the moment and wishing it could last forever.

AAM: Are there any models that inspire you ?
Catherine: Abbey lee and Natasha Poly are amazing. And Jessica Hart, I read her blog for ages, and I meet her in New york last year and got a picture taken with her. She seems so sweet.



AAM: What are your favorite sports, how much do you exercise and how do you manage your diet to stay in shape?
Catherine: I go to fitness many times a week. I run a lot, drinks lots of water and eat lots of salad and meet. Try to stay away from pasta, bread, rice and potatoes.

AAM: We all know that the designers, photographers, stylists are sometimes very difficult people. There have been stories in your case when you could not find a working understanding with the team?
Catherine: No never tried it, everyone is always so sweet. I believe in people treats you, like you treat them. Karma is a bitch, so don’t give anyone a reason to be mean to you, if it’s not worth it.

AAM: What are your goals in modeling?
Catherine: Ever since I was a little girl, have I been watching the Victoria Secret Fashion show with my dad, so that’s a big dream of mine that I hope will come true one day.



AAM: Tell us a little more about your hobbies. What are you doing when you’re not working?
Catherine: I go to school, I’m in High School and try to do my very best. I see a lot of friends in my everyday life and shopping is mine (and every other girls) passion i think. I read fashion blogs, take pictures with my friends, try new things, be happy.

AAM: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Catherine: In 10 years from now I see myself in London, still working as a model, have a killer job as a editor en chief at some big fashion magazine. I only wear high heels, and i’m overall a very happy person. Maybe I have a boyfriend I live with, or my best friend. I have a lot of funny stories from my younger days and I will invite my mum and dad over to visit me very often and take good care of them, so they never gets lonely or miss me in Denmark.

Olya:I nervous before the show start but when I on catwalk, I have everything explodes inside and I’m happy!)

Olya:Every day I’m doing exercises. They are simple, but they help me stay in shape.

AAM: Hey, Michael …!Tell us a little bit more about yourself and how you got into photography

Michael: Hello! I moved to Chicago to do standup comedy. I brought 3 things with me: an ipod, camera and laptop. I’d take pictures while walking around and practicing my comedy routine. I blogged the photos and friends responded well so I eventually switched from comedy to photography!

AAM: How would you describe your work and style?

Michael: I think it is “Bad Ass Awesome” But I’ll let people come up with their own conclusions of the work.

AAM: Do you mainly use film or digital? Any preferences?

Michael: I almost always use digital because it has a lot of latitude and I can still treat it just like film. A lot of people ask me if I’m shooting film and I think that is a compliment to how I’ve stretched digital. I’m trying to do more film work, but I’m also trying to switch to video so I’m looking for ways to mix the two.

AAM: How is your attitude at work? And what do other people say about working with you?

Michael: I’m happy to work so I’m happy at work. I didn’t leave the comedy world to do something that wouldn’t be fun or to work with boring people. I am definitely serious about my product but I have a huge sense of humor and I like to play. I get a lot of compliments from the people I work with that i’m fun and easy to work with; and I get a TON of great feedback from the agencies almost right after the model leaves the shoot that she had a blast and THAT is a huge compliment to me

AAM: Is there any model in specific with which you would like to work with in future?

Michael: I tell everyone that my dream shoot would be Kate Moss with Lara Stone. But sometimes I think it would be just as fun to shoot a group like Daphne, Lindsey and Hailey all together.

But I’m not really stuck on one specific model.

AAM: Which has been your favourite photo shoot?

Michael: I couldn’t say! Usually the most recent is my favorite since it is the most fresh in my mind. I just returned from an editorial shooting Abby Brothers in the Cascade Mountains up in Washington State. It was a 2 day shoot and we camped out in the woods while it was raining. It was so nice to be out in the wilderness for a change.

AAM: Where do you get your inspiration from?

Michael: All over the place. I think it helps to have a comedy background because comedians look at every thing and analyze it. My mind is constantly coming up with new ideas every time I wake up. But sometimes it is just the model herself.

AAM: What do you think is more important, technique or vision?

Michael: Vision! I just saw an image online of a shot someone made where they copied something a friend originally shot. They copied the lighting, makeup, nail polish, pose… EVERYTHING. And it looked terrible. It lacked life. Vision is critical and is what separates leaders from followers.

AAM: What are your latest and upcoming projects?

Michael: I’m working with a lot of fine artists for collaborations. I’ve really sunk my teeth in to the art world and they have supported my fashion work so I am looking forward to some really awesome things that will be coming out in the next few months!

AAM: What are the two most important things in your life?

Michael: I’ll pick three: People, Books and My Mind

AAM: One thing you would like to change about your job?

Michael: I think everything that needs to change is already in the process of changing. It all just keeps getting better and more grand, you know? Most importantly, my mind, ideas and confidence are constantly changing and improving which totally effects my job in major ways.

AAM: How and when did you started modeling ?

Roma:My career as a model began only half a year ago when my great mother agency ‘TANN models’ clapped eyes on me.

AAM: Roma, do you still remember your first casting ? Tell me how it was.

Roma:It was highly exciting, I was full of guess-work and uncertainty about model business in general. There was a casting for some young designer from Saint-Petersburg and of course everything was OK. I’ve been approved and it was my first fashion show.

AAM: In which countries do you managed to work? Where you liked most?

Roma:There are a lot of designers I will be happy to work with, but above it’s “Tommy Hilfiger” and “Jil Sander”, I hope they’ll read this interview =)

AAM: How would you describe yourself ?

Roma:I think that writing about my appearance myself is a little bit egoistically and if I’ll try it would be biased, so you’d better ask my booker about it.

AAM: What are in your opinion the best things in the modeling world ?

Roma:I really like the attention I receive in the model business sphere, I’m fed up with it. But it’s very important to self-develop constantly and never stop. And, as Steve Jobs said, “Stay Hungry”.

AAM: Please tell us what the last /shooting/ show has left you have the greatest impression?

Roma:Today I had 4 photo sessions in a row and it was difficult, but despite of it very pleasant.

AAM: You did fashion shows. Are you nervous before the show starts ? And how do you feel when you walk on the runway ?

Roma:Of course I’ve been worried and it has affected me. Especially it was very funny to stay calm during the catwalk, because inside I was filled with emotions.

AAM: Are there any models that inspire you ?

Roma:Alexey Kopilkin =)

AAM: What are your favorite sports, how much do you exercise and how do you manage your diet to stay in shape?

Roma:I’ve been playing football professionally for 6 years and also I’ve been canoeing for 4 years. Of course, sport is one of the important parts of my life, nowadays I try to go to gym regularly and my favorite diet sounds like ‘eat as much as I can’. =)

AAM: Do you have any beauty secrets hat you would like to share with us ?

Roma:I’m open and sincere person, that’s my secret.

AAM: Tell us a little more about your hobbies. What are you doing when you’re not working?

Roma:I’m seriously interested in music, I’m singing in the academic choir. I have a very rare quality of a voice – basso profundo. Also I play keyboards and sing in a rock band.

Dinara: I love love love Alexander McQueen! I ve waited 2 hrs in line for his Savage Beauty exhibition in Metropolitan n it worth every second of it. He was a pure genius … such a terrible loss for the world of fashion, sadly noone will ever be able to work with him again.

I also love Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci – his designs have such a dark yet serene n beautiful feel to it.

AAM: Welcome, dear Dinara. I think everyone will be interested to know what’s new in your career for last years-months ?

Dinara: Thank you for having me here, it s a pleasure. Well last month been pretty hectic i spend most of a time in a plane, good for my miles i guess

I ve recently shot for Morrocan oil campaign, then there were Redkeen, then i fly to Seattle spend there few days, came back to New York for 2 days to pack n went off to London to shoot new trends Wella campaign, a week in London n i m back on a plane to New York – shooting for Sephora, going back to London tomorrow. So lots of travels, yes… I think I ve discovered some new kind of jet lag, cuz for now i dont belong to any time zone, i m sort of in my own, ha ha )))

AAM: Do you remember your first casting? Tell me how it was.

Dinara:Umm, scary? i guess… i had no idea what i m doing n whole thing felt very awkward )

AAM: Work implies frequent travel. What do you do during a flight ?

Dinara: Oh God… trying to get as much rest as possible, even tho it s quite challenging, i never seam to find space for my legs, haha, so i end up in some kinda awkward position, very entertaining for my neighbors I always try to drink water, planes n conditioned air makes you dehydrated. It s also very important to remember that tea or coffee actually takes the water out of you system, so it s not the best choice for plane. Water Water Water

I prefer reading a book on a plane as opposed to watching a movie. I m reading Ayn Rand – The Fountainhead at the moment, i m challenging myself n reading it in english, so it takes time, but this book is simply Amazing you need to check it out if you got a chance

AAM: Tell me please, what kind of work have left on you the strongest impression ?

Dinara:I d have to say shooting with Mert n Marcus for Interview. Whole setting was beautiful, they closed down one of London`s clubs n recreate the atmosphere of Chinese salon of an opium era. It was very interesting to watch two photographers work as one, so smooth … seamed like they understood each other without saying a word .

AAM: Everyone knows that shooting for magazines is one the most difficult parts of modeling. Tell me how this is happening in your case?

Dinara:Shooting a magazine or anything whatsoever is a team work – hair, make up, wardrobe it s all there to help you get in a right mood for a shoot, then you just go with it.

AAM: We can hear a lot of stories, about models who have self-esteem problems since childhood concerning their height slimness. Did your ever feel uncomfortable about these.

Dinara:Well i ve suffered of self-esteem problems like many of us, but mine were not due to my weigh or height. Growing up in Russia with my asian look was kind of challenging, i felt very different n not accepted. Funny enough things i ve been called names before now are the reason i live and work in New York.

AAM: We all know that the designers, photographers, stylists are sometimes very difficult people. There have been stories in your case when you could not find a working understanding with the team?

Dinara:As I ve mentioned before – shooting is a team work… getting together group of a creative people with strong opinions could turn out as a disaster, but at the same time you all have one goal – completing this shoot best way possible, so i guess at this point you should try your best to get job done.

AAM: You did many many fashion shows in this season. Which one you like more? and why?

Dinara:Actually I loved Thom Brown show. He start working with womans wear not that long ago n his garments more of a creatures then every day wear, so is his show – it s more of a theatrical act then an usual runway.

AAM: Are there any models that inspire you ?

Dinara:I think every one is different, unique in its own way, you should be your own inspiration. I m not saying you should act like you are the best thing in a world period, but i think understanding yourself n discovering your own strength n weaknesses helps you not only be a better model, but be a better person

AAM: What are your favorite sports, how much do you exercise and how do you manage your diet to stay in shape?

Dinara:I m taking a Ballet classes at the moment – i used to do ballet when i was a kid n i m not nearly as good as i used to be i fact i m very clumsy, but i love it nevertheless plus i ve start taking fencing classes, it s a new experience n i m having lots of fun with it.

AAM: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Dinara:In love … with the home n family of my own.

AAM: What do you think of All About Models?

Dinara: I m still very new to a site, but i think it s a really good idea creating space where ppl from our industry can share experiences.
